Meet the Team
Thomas E. Cupples, III — Owner
Thomas founded Cupples Construction to bring straightforward, reliable residential contracting to Baton Rouge — the kind of experience where you always know what's happening with your project and why. Work has been part of his life since he could walk, growing up in family businesses until he left for college.
Before starting the company, Thomas spent a decade in residential property management, where he found his footing in the construction ops side of the business — vetting and scheduling subcontractors, coordinating unit turnovers and capital improvement projects, and staying on top of maintenance budgets and compliance standards across an entire portfolio. That hands-on experience taught him what actually keeps a project on track: timely communication, fast responses, and budget-aware estimates that hold up.
Originally from Alexandria, Louisiana, Thomas is an LSU graduate and lives in Baton Rouge with his wife, Alexis. He holds Louisiana Residential Construction License No. RL.07350 and Home Improvement Registration No. HI.07349, and personally oversees every project the company takes on.
